Biodiesel is a clean-burning, biodegradable fuel that is produced from renewable sources such as used French fry oil, animal fats, and domestically produced oil seed crops.
We believe in the use of non-food biofuel; therefore, UPP only uses Tallow (rendered animal fats) which is not a food crop but a waste product which is recycled as our product base.
Our product meets the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) specifications which is important for warranty issues. We meet the following standards:
- ASTM D975 (Production of petrodiesel in USA and Canada)
- ASTM D6751 (Production of biodiesel in the USA and Canada)
United Petroleum Products and our partners are firm proponents of in-line injection blending. Inline injected blending brings both products into a solution for a consistent product from end to end. The only time the product will fall out of solutions is when the temperature is outside the blended products cloud point.
